Her Eyes

I look into her eyes
where her love resides
her heart is torn
and it cant be sewn
yet she smiles
and laughs
and jokes
like shes fine

I look into her eyes
and its not fine
deep down inside
she cries
as she mourns her loss
 her smile fools us all

I look into her eyes
and she tries to smile
She knows I know
and she cant mask her tears
but her lashes close
shutting me out
not letting me in
nor anyone else
her pain is hers
and its dear to her

She wont let us know
that shes still low
she will laugh out loud
 and talk and smile
yet look into her eyes
and you will see
her pain resides
deep within she
