a crushing revelation
dark with no redemption
and not short of variation

a mere imagination
a mirage like formation
far from magical emancipation

a growing delusion
just a fruitless anticipation
not worthy of creation

a painful formation
just a heartless innovation
that causes frustration

more like painful castration
yet we forget and fail to accept
that its not worthy of respect.

ReplyDeleteexpectations by themselves are not bad. But if the expecaions are not met then it might cause problems. Without expectations how can anybody live a life. Its impossible. I dont know much about the nuances of english language. but clearly ur poem today did no crate a lasing impression, I would say

lol..well this is me, I write what is on my mind and its not just the positive side of things sometimes its the negative side of things that you need to pay attention to. People drown in expectations,ppl have killed themselves coz they couldn't live upto expectations. and yet we still have expectation, this poem is about irony of it all, its only human to have expectations but its these expectations that hurt us the most. thank you for reading.
