Empty Walls

As the week comes to an end
And everyones merry
My thoughts whine
Oh how scary

It's another weekend
just days of sleepless nights
Where dinner goes cold
And the candles go dim
Dusk turns to dawn
Yet the wait never ends

It happens every weekend
But you hate to admit,
It wont happen again
You say to yourself
oh what a lousy night
You watch the stars
In the night so calm
a balmy night before a storm

As you ponder on
And wonder what ain't right?
You bottle your emotions
It's all just a game
You know it hurts
Yet you don't make it stop
You know it aint right
But you fear the night
And its secrets alike

So, you wait, with all your might
and tell yourself lies
You know it wont pass
Your wait wont end
 Fore its only yours
and its here to stay

You watch the moon rise
And travel to where it sets
You have a busy day
But you wait all night

Your wait wont end
You know for sure
Nothing will change
But you wait on

The night has gone
and the morning's here
you put the food away
clean up, get ready
And off to work you go

You work all day
You are tired and blue
You come home to empty walls
and boxes of shoe
 There's no one here
To hear you out
No one here to even care
No one,but you alone
Fore your wait goes on

You ponder to yourself
And embrace the truth
A smile passes your lips
As you speak to empty walls
Your only confidantes
They'll never leave you
And are here to stay
